Hello everyone. On a recent visit to the cosmetics department of my favorite store, I went looking for the best blush for aging skin.
I tried a cream blush instead of my usual powder blush. When I saw the difference I was convinced that my makeup needs updating. The cream blushes had some hydration that gave a soft dewy look to my mature skin. Powder blush can be drying and emphasize lines. Read on to learn more about my favorite blushes for mature skin.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush
First up is Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush. This product is an award-winning blush that contains a skin-loving ceramide triple complex along with the protection of vitamins A, C, and E. It comes in four colors, Nectar, Plum, Pink, and Honey. I found it very nicely pigmented with vibrant, creamy lasting color. This was my favorite of the three because of the ceramides it contains and the creamy texture. It glides onto my skin evenly smoothly. I reach for this blush more often than any other. Bobbie Brown Pot Rouge For Lips & Cheeks
Bobbie Brown Pot Rouge For Lips & Cheeks is a best-selling, multi-purpose color for lips and cheeks. I love multi-purpose products. Pot Rouge is also richly pigmented and comes in six shades.
Stila Convertible Color
Stila Convertible Color is a lipstick and blush as well. It has a soft, translucent color and gives a sheer, natural finish. It comes in six shades.
Applying cream blush was different than powdered or stick blush. I found just lightly pressing it in with a beauty blender or patting with fingertips worked best. Also using moisturizer first helped.
Cream blushes can be an excellent choice for mature skin because they give a natural, flushed more youthful look to cheeks. I found they aren’t drying and don’t accentuate lines. For those reasons, I’ve made the switch from powdered blush to cream blush.
